AISA opposes season-ticket price increases
AISA has called for a freeze on prices paid by gold members, and has proposed that Arsenal introduce a loyalty package for hard pressed season-ticket holders. Arsenal have already announced a 6.5% increases for the corporate/luxury Club Level, where season prices will now range between £2,770-£5,460.
However the Club has advised AISA that "we have made no decision on pricing in other areas of the stadium". An announcement is expected in April.
Arsenal members receive less discount on their season-ticket than any other Premiership club, prices are already very high, and many long-serving and loyal supporters will find it very difficult in the current economic situation to afford a significant price rise.
Gavin Silvey, AISA chairman, said:
"We understand the reasons why the Club have increased prices in the Club Level but strongly believe that it would be a mistake to make similar increases for season-ticket holders in the Upper and Lower Tiers. We call on the Club to freeze prices for these members."
AISA has also suggested a package of other items, including a staged payment scheme, and will be raising these at its next meeting with Arsenal chief executive, Ivan Gazidis.
