Arsenal make ticket prices announcement
Following representations and recommendations from AISA, and other supporters organisations, Arsenal have come to a decision about season-ticket prices for 2012-13.
The announcement, discussed at a meeting at The Emirates Stadium yesterday, is to freeze prizes for gold members and make an average 2% increase for platinum (club level) members.
As well as largely accepting the overwhelming view of supporters that ticket prices should be frozen the announcement comes 10 weeks earlier than previously for gold members, as suggested by AISA.
Both AISA and AST welcomed the price freeze for gold members, and argued that the same decision could have also been made for platinum members.
Discussions with the Club will be continuing on other proposals put forward by AISA earlier this season, including the items in our 10 point ticketing and loyalty plan and matters relating to the Family Enclosure and ticket pricing for possible other competitions that the Club may compete in.
Other priorities identified by AISA include increased discounts for season-ticket holders, a staged payment scheme and the need for significant changes to the Ticket Exchange.
An AISA meeting to discuss today's news and other ticketing matters takes place next Monday. Let us have your views on ticket prices, policies, practice and structure by emailing us.
