Happy birthday to us
Next Saturday's match at The Emirates Stadium will be celebrating the 125th anniversary of the Club and the AISA Arsenal History Society has been exploring the nature and the exact starting date of Arsenal FC. A fascinating series of short articles have been published here.
AISA has also announced that it is to hold an Arsenal 125 year celebration event on 12 January 2012 at the House of Commons. Amongst the special guests attending will be Philippa Dawson, grand-daughter of Jack Humble, who many believe can lay claim to the title of being the “founding father” of the club. Jack was a player in the early days of the club and subsequently a committee member of Royal Arsenal and a director of Woolwich Arsenal FC. More information will be circulated to members shortly.
